Terms of Service
Effective September 12, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Nick Stellato, who makes Blurtly ("we" or "Blurtly"). They cover the Blurtly app and the website at blurtly.co. By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Blurtly. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data and is part of this agreement.
Who can use Blurtly
You must be at least 13 years old, or older if the law where you live sets a higher age for agreeing to terms like these. You must give us accurate account details and keep your sign in credentials to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Early access
Blurtly is being let out a few people at a time and is still being built. Features may change, be removed, or stop working without notice while it is early. We may limit how many people can join, and we may end early access for anyone at our discretion. Access that is free now may become paid later. If pricing changes, existing users will be told before it affects them.
Your content
Everything you say to Blurtly and everything you keep in it, meaning captures, tasks, projects, goals, and reviews, belongs to you. You give us permission to store, process, sync, and display that content only as needed to provide the service to you, including sending capture text to our AI provider to extract tasks as described in the Privacy Policy. We claim no other rights to it, and this permission ends when you delete the content or your account.
You agree not to use Blurtly to store or process anything that is illegal, that infringes someone else's rights, or that you do not have the right to share with us.
AI generated results
Blurtly uses an AI model to turn what you say into structured tasks with titles, dates, projects, and priorities. It is good, not perfect. It may mishear a date, file a task under the wrong project, or miss something. The results are suggestions for you to review, and you remain responsible for anything you do based on them. Do not rely on Blurtly as your only record of anything important, such as a legal deadline or a medical appointment.
Free accounts and Blurtly Plus
Free accounts include a set number of AI parses each month, currently 15. Captures beyond that are still saved as text and can be sorted by hand. We may change the free limit, and will say so in the app if we do.
Blurtly Plus removes that limit. It is sold as a monthly or annual subscription through Apple's App Store. Apple bills you, and the subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it renews. You cancel or change it in your App Store subscription settings, not in Blurtly, and refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. When a subscription ends your account returns to the free limits. Your content is not affected.
Acceptable use
Do not try to break into Blurtly, interfere with other people's use of it, probe or overload our systems, reverse engineer the app beyond what the law permits, resell access, or use automated tools to make AI requests outside the app. Do not use Blurtly to harass anyone or to break the law. We may suspend or close accounts that do.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app. This removes your account and everything synced to it and cannot be undone. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, and we may close inactive accounts after giving notice by email. If we ever shut Blurtly down, we will give you at least 30 days' notice and a way to export your content.
What we do not promise
Blurtly is provided as it is and as it is available. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including that the service will be uninterrupted, error free, or fit for a particular purpose, or that AI results will be accurate. Some places do not allow these limits, in which case they apply only as far as they lawfully can.
Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Blurtly is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or missed obligations arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or 50 US dollars if you paid nothing. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules. If we have a dispute, we will each try to resolve it informally first by email. If that fails, it will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Illinois, and you agree to their jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in a place whose law gives you the right to bring claims in your own courts, nothing here takes that away.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Blurtly grows. We will change the date at the top, and for a change that materially affects you we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Blurtly after that means you accept the new terms.
Everything else
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about Blurtly. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce something right away, we can still enforce it later. You may not transfer this agreement to anyone else. We may transfer it if Blurtly changes hands, and you would be told.
